The important lessons from the forging era have given PT. Hotel Indonesia Natour (INNA HOTEL GROUP) inspirations to survive from the crisis and turn it into a significant leap. INNA HOTEL GROUP Management had worked hard unremittingly on planning, designing strategies and also consolidating inside or outside in order to increase group’s performance. Tactical and strategic decisions were made include a realistic closing of units which not growing as management’s expectation. It was done for efficiency and avoiding company from the threat of a prolonged deficit income.
The momentum was started on 2004 when the government and management of PT. Hotel Indonesia Natour had an agreement with PT. Djarum through its subsidiary, PT. Cipta Karya Bumi Indah, to manage Hotel Indonesia & Inna Tour with partnership paternof Build, Operate and Transfer for 30 years. For this prestigious mega project PT. Cipta Karya Bumi Indah (CKBI) gave funds worth of IDR1.3 trillion.
This partnership will transform the Hotel Indonesia region to Grand Indonesia by putting the historical building into a classy and prestigious hotel.
In the same year Inna Ambarukmo Palace in Yogyakarta was returned to Yogyakarta Sultanate, so PT. HIN was no longer administering the hotel.
Along with the rise of LCC-based aviation has affected the performance of Inna Juanda at Surabaya, which has run into a deficit. On the year 2006 this business unit operation was determined to be closed down, followed by switching Inna Adisucipto Catering to be sold to PT. Angkasa Citra Sarana (Garuda Group) – on the year 2009. The release of 2 catering business units was the part of consolidation program of PT. Hotel Indonesia Natour to be more focus on its core business on hospitality. (Source: HIN)
